About Project

VLE Mobile is a US MVNO (mobile virtual network operator) platform that sells prepaid wireless service across AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile networks, bundled with Aura digital-security protection. Appening partnered with VLE Mobile to design and engineer the end-to-end product. The outcome is one platform where subscribers pick a plan, activate service, manage lines, and access security features from a single account.

US prepaid wireless is a commodity market where single-network MVNOs compete on price alone, leaving subscribers with coverage gaps when one carrier's signal fails. Households that want identity protection typically buy a separate security subscription on top of mobile service, fragmenting billing and support. eSIM and number port-in workflows are error-prone on legacy carrier portals, increasing support tickets during the first 48 hours of service.

Production-ready in under 6 months, VLE Mobile now runs a unified subscriber platform across web and mobile app.

  • Triple-network access live. Subscribers connect through automatic switching across 3 national 5G networks, covering the redundancy gap that single-network MVNOs cannot address.
  • Security bundled by default. Aura-powered digital security — including up to $5M identity theft insurance — ships with eligible plans, removing a separate $10–15/month security subscription for households.
  • 80+ country roaming included. International roaming across 80+ countries is built into plan positioning, reducing prepaid roaming sticker shock that drives 12–18% of support contacts at traditional carriers.
  • Self-service eSIM activation. In-app eSIM install, QR download, and carrier-settings guidance cut activation support dependency for new lines.
  • Unified payments. Stripe, Apple Pay, and Google Pay checkout handle renewals, upgrades, and add-ons in one flow.
  • 2FA-secured accounts. Email login with SMS OTP verification and remember-device support protects subscriber accounts across app and web dashboard bridge sessions.

Triple Network Access

VLE Mobile gives subscribers access to AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile 5G networks with automatic switching to the strongest available signal. Households get broader geographic coverage and built-in redundancy when one network degrades.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We engineered the dashboard to read each subscriber's network type and line setup the moment they sign in, then load the exact billing and usage view that matches their account — so single-network, triple-network, and family subscribers each land on the right screen with no manual toggling or mismatched data.

eSIM Activation

Subscribers install voice/SMS or data eSIM profiles directly from the app, download QR codes for manual provisioning, and follow guided carrier-settings steps before confirming activation.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We built eSIM provisioning natively into the app, wiring the activation screens directly to the device's eSIM installer and handling phone permissions and progress states in the background. Subscribers add a line in a few taps instead of being routed to carrier settings or a support call.

New subscribers verify port eligibility, submit port-in requests, and track transfer status without calling support — keeping number migration inside the onboarding funnel.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We engineered the port-in flow to check number eligibility in real time and guide each request through a clear, tracked sequence — surfacing the specific reason whenever a number can't transfer rather than a generic error. Marketing and in-app plan pickers expose Single Network, Triple Network, and Family tiers with broadband-facts transparency and a $1 trial entry point.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We connected the plan picker to a live catalog and a real-time pricing engine that calculates tax, discounts, and per-line totals before checkout. The order summary updates instantly as plans and line counts change, so the price subscribers see is the price they pay.

Aura-powered identity protection — encryption, real-time threat detection, and up to $5M insurance — is surfaced as a first-class dashboard tab alongside mobile billing.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We gave Aura-powered security its own dashboard and billing track, kept separate from mobile line charges, so subscribers can add, upgrade, or drop protection independently of their wireless plan. Security reads as a first-class part of the account, not a bolted-on add-on.

Subscribers review past charges, download receipts, and reconcile renewals from a dedicated payment-history screen linked from Manage.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We cache each subscriber's payment history after the first load and reuse it as they navigate, so charges, receipts, and renewals appear instantly instead of reloading every time. Reviewing past bills stays fast even on weak connections.

Help center links open contact forms, knowledge-base articles, live chat, and scheduled-call WebViews — with in-app ticket submission and ticket management.

Agency Engineering Value-Add: We brought live chat, call scheduling, and the knowledge base directly into the app, alongside an in-app form that files structured support tickets straight to the backend. Subscribers get help and can open or track a ticket without leaving the app or switching to email.
