A logistics-oriented client approached Appening, seeking a solution to enhance the online shopping experience in the U.S. market, particularly in the areas of order returns and shipping. The challenge was to simplify the return process, making it as effortless as placing orders, thereby encouraging more consumers to shop online.

Return and Subscriptions
Our platform revolutionizes the online return experience by enabling customers to choose merchants for return pickups based on their location. Accompanying this feature is an innovative subscription model offering two plans: one with a limit of two free returns per week and another for unlimited returns. This model adds value by providing options suitable for different shopping habits, and includes perks like discounts on shipments, making the return process both economical and convenient for users.
Shipments & Same-Day Delivery
The application integrates various carriers, including UPS, FedEx, and DHL, for user-selected shipping options. Additionally, it offers a unique same-day delivery service within the city, managed by the merchants themselves. This feature calculates costs based on distance, ensuring a quick and efficient delivery process. It caters to the immediate needs of local customers, providing a competitive edge to participating merchants.
Real-Time Tracking & Support
A critical aspect of the platform is its real-time tracking functionality, which allows customers to monitor both their returns and shipments. Complementing this is the real-time chat support feature, providing instant assistance and enhancing customer experience. This level of transparency and support is crucial in building trust and satisfaction among users, making the platform reliable and user-friendly.
Merchant Dashboard
The merchant side of the platform is equipped with a comprehensive dashboard. This dashboard provides extensive order management capabilities and insights into earnings. Integration with Stripe Connect for payouts streamlines the financial aspect, ensuring a secure and efficient transaction process. This dashboard is a crucial tool for merchants to manage their operations effectively within the platform.
Public API for Stores
To extend the platform's functionality, we developed a public API that allows online stores to seamlessly integrate our return process into their websites. By implementing a 'Return with BoxHero' button, online stores can facilitate an easy return process for their customers. This integration simplifies returns for end-users and enhances the service offerings of online retailers, making the process more efficient and user-centric.
