Systems Engineer – AI Agentic Systems (Node.js)
Description
Design and build the APIs, data pipelines, and agentic workflows behind our AI-native products. You'll write production-grade services in Node.js and orchestrate LLMs, RAG, and multi-step agents. We value strong system design and a keen eye for detail, and we build day to day with AI coding agents.
Responsibilities
- Build and maintain the backend services, APIs, and data pipelines that power our AI-native products.
- Ship agentic workflows to production — orchestrating LLMs, retrieval (RAG), and multi-step agents.
- Own reliability and performance: monitoring, observability, and scaling as usage grows.
- Partner with product engineers and designers to move features from spec to release.
- Build day to day with AI coding agents such as Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code to ship faster.
Qualifications
- Several years of backend engineering with Node.js, with strong system-design and architecture fundamentals.
- Solid grounding in API design, data modelling, and event-driven or asynchronous systems.
- Working knowledge of LLMs, vector databases, RAG, or agent frameworks — or the drive to master them quickly.
- Fluency in an AI-assisted development workflow — comfortable pairing with coding agents like Cursor, Codex, and Claude Code and directing them well.
- Experience with cloud infrastructure, CI/CD, and running services in production.
