AI Engineer
Description
We're looking for a AI Engineer to join our team and help design, build and ship the agentic, retrieval and voice systems at the core of what we deliver for clients.
Responsibilities
You'll work end-to-end across our six-stage delivery process — from AI mapping and architecture through development, deployment and continuous evolution. Day to day, you'll:
- Build AI agents and workflow automation systems that carry real business processes from start to finish.
- Design document intelligence solutions that combine OCR with LLMs to extract, understand and act on unstructured documents.
Develop multi-step AI workflows and decision engines that chain models, tools and business logic reliably. - Build RAG and retrieval pipelines over vector stores like Qdrant, pgvector, MongoDB Atlas and Redis, tuned for accuracy, latency and cost.Develop real-time voice agents using tools such as LiveKit, ElevenLabs, Deepgram and Whisper.
- Integrate foundation models (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini) and open models (Llama, Mistral) into client systems and deploy them on cloud infrastructure (AWS, GCP, Azure) with Kubernetes and Terraform.
- Ship all of the above with the evaluation, guardrails and observability needed to run reliably at scale — then keep improving it.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of software engineering experience, with hands-on work taking AI/ML or LLM-powered features to production.
- Strong Python skills and fluency across the modern GenAI stack.
- Depth in at least one of our focus areas — agentic systems, RAG/retrieval, or voice — and the drive to grow across the rest.
- Strong evaluation skills: you build eval harnesses, measure model and system quality against real metrics, and iterate rather than eyeballing outputs.
- A guardrails-first instinct — you design for safety, failure modes, hallucination, cost and reliability before a system ever reaches users.
- Comfort integrating models via APIs and deploying containerized workloads on the cloud.
- Clear communication and the ability to work directly with clients as an embedded team member.
